Freedom Sea Scout Squadron

Ship 1908, SSS Rising Phoenix is the reincarnation of the Sea Scout Chanters of the SSS Redhawk. After the Redhawk's members graduated a group of young people along with their Skipper, David Tarantino restarted the ship with a focus on urban outreach. They are bringing Sea Scouting to youth in urban areas that most likely would never have the benefit of Sea Scouts. Their main goals are to bring a knowledge of maritime skills to young people and equip them to have a safe time on the water.
